"It's a willingness to take a chance with new and imaginative food items, hosting special events, getting involved in the local community and transforming grocery shopping from drudgery to an enjoyable, even entertaining experience that has given the Eddie's of Roland Park gourmet grocery markets their name recognition in Maryland" - The Jeffersonian
At Eddie's, we see ourselves as "traditionally untraditional." Over the years, we've built our reputation by offering unparalleled customer service and the highest-quality hand-selected products. It's a combination that most shoppers find refreshingly unconventional.
It's a philosophy deeply rooted in our history as an independant grocer. You see it reflected in our dedicated staff. It's manifest in our dedication to our customers and our service to the community. We hope you'll become a part of it too!

Formstone, that funky faux rock, was "invented" in 1938 by Albert Knight, and intended only for remodeling suburban homes. It wasn't until the late 1940s and 1950s that it began appearing en masse throughout Baltimore's neighborhoods. Little by little, entire blocks of brick-front rowhomes were covered with a layer of concrete skin - transforming into our beloved "little castles."
A few years before that, Eddie's opened the doors to our first location in Roland Park. Since then, we've been providing exceptional service and hard-to-find products to our loyal customers. When you care so much about what you do, it's hard to "cover up" your true self.
Fashion runs in cycles, and while many were tearing it down a few years ago, Formstone is hot again today. It's even accenting the set designs of John Waters' "Hairspray" in Manhattan!
Fake Formstone on Broadway...who would've ever thought?
