custserv Customer service is the essence of our business. It extends to everything we do and distinguishes us from every other grocer in the area. From greeting customers by name, to asking “did you find everything today” at the checkout, we never forget that we are in the service business first and foremost.

We encourage you, our customers, to tell us what you want, what you like, and what you don’t. We deliver orders to your doorstep, and prepare gift baskets for shipment around the world. We cater your special functions and prepare special holiday menus year-round. Need a dozen crabcakes sent overnight to Spokane? No problem. Can’t find that great cheese you sampled on your European vacation? We can probably track it down for you. Really. Just ask, and let us amaze you.

Built in 1911, the Bromo Seltzer tower was not only Baltimore's tallest structure and the worlds largest four-dial gravity clock, it was and remains the world's grandest monument to over-the-counter antacids.

The tower was designed by Joseph Evans Sperry and built by Captain Isaac Emerson. Emerson was the inventor of Bromo Seltzer - an antacid consisting mostly of sodium bicarbonate and acetaminophen. The original tower featured a 51-foot, 27 ton revolving Bromo Seltzer bottle. Illuminated by nearly 600 lights, it was visible from 20 miles away.

While the big bottle is long gone, you can still read the "Bromo Seltzer" name on the clock dial - just start from 12:00 and read clockwise!
