Position Summary:
The Deli Prep Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meats and deli items, maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
• Prepare meats, deli salads, and cooked food items according to established recipes.
• Cook items such as turkey, roasts, and chicken while adhering to proper time and temperature standards.
• Measure, weigh, mix, wash, peel, slice, and carve ingredients as needed.
• Ensure consistent quality, freshness, and presentation of all food items.
Food Safety & Sanitation:
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment (e.g., slicers, knives, blenders, food processors).
• Keep all utensils clean, safe, and in good working condition.
• Rotate, label, and organize products to ensure freshness and compliance.
• Perform routine cleaning to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Follow all federal and state health and safety regulations and use PPE as required.
Inventory & Organization:
• Monitor and maintain proper stock levels of food and supplies.
• Record product transfers accurately.
• Manage inventory and ensure proper handling and disposal of shrink.
• Notify management of inventory shortages or issues.
Important Requirement:
• Candidates must be 18 years or older to be considered for employment with Eddie’s.
Customer Service & Teamwork:
• Provide prompt, courteous service and respond to customer inquiries.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Support a positive team environment focused on achieving company goals.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned to support kitchen and deli operations, maintain food safety standards, and ensure efficient, high-quality service.

Salary:
• $18–$22 per hour.
• Compensation is based on years of relevant experience, demonstrated customer service ability, and overall ability to multitask.
