ONE MORE BITE
Choosing Sides
Cookouts, picnics, family reunions and good friends ... That's what holiday weekends are all about. Fire up the grill with burgers, ribs, hot dogs and steaks for some easy, fun, stress-free entertaining.
When we are invited to to these cookouts, many times we are asked to bring a side dish. How many times can you bring the same old potato salad and coleslaw? Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course -- but wouldn't you like to take the ho-hum out of your side dish?
At Eddie's we go beyond ordinary in a big way. Don't just bring potato salad, bring North Bethany Potato Salad, full of lump crabmeat, corn and potatoes. Instead of the same old coleslaw (though our cole slaw happens to be pretty amazing), try our Crunchy Cole Slaw, full of crisp cabbage, sliced almonds and crunchy ramen.
Bringing a pasta salad to your picnic? Try our colorful and delicious Pasadena Pasta Salad: bowtie pasta with fresh baby spinach, peas, pine nuts and pesto, or Orzo with Vegetables: fresh veggies mixed with rice-shaped pasta.
Our kitchens are always creating and moving forward with innovative options for our customers. Our newest salads at Roland Avenue are Quinoa with Baby Kale and Mediterranean Artichoke Salad, both vegan-friendly. Our Charles Street location also has two new vegan pasta salads. Try Pasta with Arugula Pesto or Spring Pasta with Sweet Pepper Coulis.
Of course, you can always get fresh roasted vegetables. Try serving them warm with melted butter or cold, tossed with your favorite vinaigrette. Stop by this weekend to try some of our sides: Saturday, May 24 at Roland Avenue and Sunday, May 25 at Charles Street, both from 11-3.
Enjoy a safe and fun holiday weekend -- and don't worry about "choosing sides."
