Local hand-crafted ice creamery The Charmery has partnered with Eddie’s in-store bakery to produce “B-more Pride,” a limited-edition ice cream flavor celebrating Pride Month—available beginning June 11, 2021.

The delectable new flavor features a sweet raspberry base and sprinkling of chocolate nonpareil candy with chunks of Eddie’s colorful, scratch-made rainbow cookies. A portion of all sales will benefit local non-profit Baltimore Safe Haven, offering support and resources for LGBTQ+ residents of Baltimore City who are living in survival mode. “We are so excited for this flavor!” said The Charmery owner/master creamer David Alima. “B-more Pride is definitely delicious and super fun, but beyond that to be able to join forces with Eddie’s of Roland Park to support Baltimore Safe Haven is incredible.”

“We have been chatting for months about the right way to team up,” shared Eddie’s of Roland Park marketing director Jared Earley. “I couldn’t imagine a sweeter way to honor LGBTQ+ Pride and Baltimore Safe Haven than supporting their mission with this fantastic flavor.”

The single-batch collaboration is available while supplies last—sold by the pint in the freezer aisle at both Eddie’s of Roland Park locations (5113 Roland Avenue and 6213 North Charles Street) and by the scoop AND the pint at The Charmery’s four storefront locations: Hampden (801 West 36th Street), Federal Hill (46 East Cross Street), Towson (6807 York Road) and Columbia (6000 Merriweather Drive, Suite 185B).

In addition, Eddie’s will be offering free samples of the flavor to shoppers during the 12:00-1:00pm lunch hour on Wednesday, June 16 (North Charles Street) and Friday, June 18 (Roland Avenue).

Celebrated every June, Pride Month commemorates the 1969 uprising at New York City’s Stonewall Inn and recognizes the contributions to society made by LGBTQ+ people. This year, Baltimore Pride takes place June 13-20, 2021.
