Blood Orange Paloma

A refreshing twist on the classic Paloma cocktail.

Ingredients

10 sprigs fresh thyme leaves, removed from stems and roughly chopped
1 t. sea salt
Ice
2 oz. good-quality silver tequila
1/2 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
6 oz. blood orange soda, such as Bundaberg

To Prepare

Mix chopped thyme with salt and crush with fingers until well blended.

Rub half of a squeezed lime around the rim of a tall glass. Dip rim in the thyme salt mixture.

Add a few ice cubes, a pinch of the salt mixture, then add tequila, lime juice and soda.

To Serve

Stir and enjoy. Garnish with lime wedge and/or thyme sprig, if desired.

Eddie’s Recipe Tip:

 

For a traditional Paloma, substitute grapefruit soda for the blood orange soda.
