Ingredients
McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning or your simple salt and pepper
1 tbs. olive oil
steak of choice (USDA Choice Strip Steak recommended)
To Prepare
- 1. Set out your steak about 30 minutes prior to grilling. Coat both sides in McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning (Bobby’s favorite; pick your seasoning of choice and add as much or as little as you like! Or, keep things simple—you can never go wrong with just salt & pepper).
- 2. Brush olive oil on the grill grates.
- 3. Get your grill hot. Place your seasoned steak down at a diagonal angle from the grates of the grill for a 30-60 second sear, flip to opposite angle diagonal grill marks for 30-60 seconds.
- 4. Lower the heat. Cook an additional 7-8 minutes per side (for a medium rare 1" thick steak).
